The school holidays are coming up fast – Yay!
The library is the best place to be for fun activities to break your routine. And remember, everything is free.
All of our branches have exciting and different events. Most events require bookings (except some of our movie screenings) but many are already booked out with waiting lists!
Here is a list of the events that still have some spaces. Don’t miss out, book now!
Let’s take a look...
- Popsicle Stick Bridge Challenge
- Pyjamas Story Making
- Immersive Worlds: D&D, table-top games, Nintendo Switch, escape room for 12-25 year olds.
- Clowning Around
- Active Morning
- Aboriginal Storytelling and Dance Workshop - 7 July Galada Hub
- Aboriginal Storytelling and Dance Workshop - 8 July Lalor Library
Also, the Science Discovery Dome is coming to Banyule Nillumbik Tech School, near Diamond Valley Library. This is an immersive planetarium experience covering Earth and Space Science! There are two shows; Secret of the Cardboard Rocket and Back to the Moon.
There are still some spaces left in Science Discovery Dome: Back to the Moon. Take a journey to the moon from launch to landing and lunar surface travel. The show ends with a stunning glimpse of a plausible scenario for our future on the Moon.
This experience is followed by a tour of the night sky, where we will get to explore stars, planets and major constellations!
We also have a program of First Nations events, over lots of activities from storytelling and dance, to coding and art and craft. Check out our blog covering our First Nations events.
And, hey, it’s winter, so there is not much better than curling up with a good movie. We have a movie EVERY weekday across our branches. Come along and warm up while you chill out!
