2024 Festive Hours

It's a busy time of year. Planning ahead can be key. You may know that library services are closed on the public holidays but did you know that some days hours have changed too? Avoid confusion and check out the changes below. 

Also, check out some events happening for Christmas. Get hands-on and creative or meet Santa.

Holiday Opening Hours


Tuesday 24 December
- All branches close at 12.00pm

Wednesday 25 December - All branches and services closed

Thursday 26 December - All branches and services closed

Friday 27 December - Amended hours 10.00am - 5.00pm

 

Monday 30 December - Amended hours 10.00am - 5.00pm

Monday 31 December - Amended hours 10.00am - 5.00pm

Wednesday 1 January - All branches and services closed

 

Normal Hours will resume on Thursday 2 January 2023

PLEASE NOTE: Return chutes will be closed while branches are closed. 

Loan returns and reservations during closures will automatically be extended for your convenience.

 

Mobile Library and Outreach Vehicle

 

The Mobile Library is off the road from Tuesday 24 December to undergo its annual maintenance and repairs and is expected to return to service Tuesday 28 January 2025.

What about your reservations?
Please go online to change your pick up location to any branch or hub. Or you can suspend your reservation until it is back.  

 

The Outreach Vehicle is off the road from Monday 23 December and normal hours resume on Tuesday 7 January 2024

 

Hubs

 

Bellfield  Hub is closed from Monday 23 December and reopens on Monday 20 January.  
All Bellfield holds will be available for collection from Ivanhoe Library.

Galada  Hub is closed from Monday 23 December and reopens on Thursday 2 January. 

Hurstbridge Hub is closed from Monday 23 December and reopens on Monday 6 January

Kirrip  Hub is closed from Monday 23 December and reopens on Thursday 2 January.
