eBooks and eAudiobooks in YPRL’s OverDrive collection will move to a new shared consortium called Boobook Digital Library on Tuesday 8th October 2024.
Yarra Plenty Regional Library (YPRL) have entered into a partnership agreement with Your Library (YL) and Whitehorse Manningham Libraries (WML) to share our respective OverDrive eBook & eAudiobook collections.
All existing OverDrive/Libby users will need to log into the newly created consortium to continue using the collection with their library card number and password.

How much bigger will the shared collection be?
After the transition, members will have access to an additional 100,000+ eBook and eAudiobook titles.
What will happen to current loans/history/holds/tags?
Borrowers will not lose current loans or position in hold queue.
Tags are device specific, so as long as you continue to use Libby on the same device, tags will remain.
Why the name Boobook?
Shared consortiums in OverDrive require a unique, easily distinguishable name. The name was selected reflecting the fact that the Australian Southern Boobook Owl is common to all participating library regions.
Users will continue to be able to search for the collection by library service or branch name.
I don't remember my library card number or password
If you have forgotten your library card number, you will need to contact the library, or visit a physical location.
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset your password online. Resetting your YPRL password will also reset it for Libby.
