The Snow Angel How To:

If you’re lucky to get to the snow this Winter have a go at making a Snow Angel.

Snow angels are best made after a light snowfall. Heavy, sticky snow makes it harder to shape the snow. Have your child lie in the snow and then move their legs and arms out, then in, then out again. It is like making star jumps lying down. Then, when they stand up and look over their shoulder, they will see an angel shape in the snow. The arms have made the wings and the legs have made the gown. They can also make a face (happy or sad) and decorate the rest of the angel with stones, leaves, grasses, twigs, or other natural materials if available.

Here are a couple of fun articles to help you enhance your fun in the snow!

Or, even get into some science fun with these two easy ingredients to make your own snow!

Here are some book recommendations if you're missing the snow, or just not ready to let go of the winter fun!
