Many historical and culturally significant locations are within a short walk of Main Road Eltham. YPRL in partnership with Eltham District Historical Society  are pleased to announce the launch of the Little Eltham Heritage Walk .

The walk includes links to further information, including images from the EDHS collection on Victorian Collections. The Walking Maps resource promotes healthier, connected communities through people walking everyday.  

With History Month still in full swing, explore other local history walks and trails including:

Nillumbik

Gawa Wurundjeri Resource Trail, Watsons Creek 

Hurstbridge Heritage trail 

Nillumbik Digital Heritage Guide includes interactive maps, pop up discoveries and local stories.

Banyule

Eaglemont historic homestead walk  highlights significant houses in the area.

Greensborough Pioneer Walk  produced by Greensborough Historical Society in partnership with Greensborough Town Centre. This recently published brochure highlights information walking along Grimshaw and Main Street Greensborough. Plaques are also in place along the route.

Mont Park to Springthorpe Heritage Project have developed a series of local walks with historical information.

Whittlesea

Keelbundoora scarred trees and heritage trail, Bundoora

Thomastown Main St. Reserve Walk  Covers a similar walk, YPRL has hosted annually in the past starting and returning via Thomastown Library.
